To Our Friends,

Like the Walrus said, the time has come. Vernie and I have had an enjoyable three years running the pub, making many new friends along the way while sharing good times with our old friends. We would like to thank everybody, from the most regular "regular" to the one time visitor for making this an interesting and fun time. However, the time has come for me to move on to other projects. We would not be able to do this without first leaving the pub in good hands.

I am happy to announce that the Van der Molen family - Rob, Brad and their folks - have taken up this endeavor known as Trials Pub. Rob and Brad require little introduction since they have been at Trials far longer than I. Their father, Bill Van der Molen, will be lending business expertise developed over a long and interesting career, including retiring from the US Army as a Colonel.

Vernie and I are confident that the Van der Molens will enjoy the same support and friendship that have been extended to us during the past three years. To that end, we are planning a big party on November 11, one day after Rob and Brad take over operation of the pub. Please join us to welcome them and wish them luck in their new roles. Not to worry, Vernie and I will still be in the area and will still be regulars at the pub (Back to the Future, eh?).
